Wellllll.

Well. I sure cant blame Norv for all the missed tackles today. The Chargers just got plain out played. Old fashioned whooping. Coming off such an emotional win as last week it would be very hard to rebound and come out firing today. Cant blame Norv for this loss. Just the 8 during the regular season.

I think this picture of a dog crapping on a Steelers logo shows how I feel about this game. Its actually a .gif with animation of the actual poo-pooing but I couldn't figure it out. Thanks to the Cleveland fan who made it.

TO THE GAME!

Pittsburgh has the leagues #1 Defense. The Chargers have the leagues 2nd to worst Pass D. However, the only teams that really gave Pittsburgh trouble and LOSSES were teams with versatile offenses like the Eagles and Tennessee and the Giants. The Chargers also fit this bill. Somewhat a 'run first' team but our real bread and butter is P. Rivers. Add Sproles to that mix and it spells trouble.

The Chargers almost beat the Stoolers with a less than stellar LT. A healthy Sproles and with Rivers on the mark the Chargers pull out a victory by 5 points. If Rivers throws more than 1 interception the Chargers will lose.

ALSO if the Chargers 2nd string RB and probable team Cell Phone salesman (his job 4 weeks ago) has his career usual fumble-itis then the Chargers will lost. COLD. SNOW. Maybe WET. This will be a game of contrition and turnovers. The team with the least amount of turnovers wins.

Pittsburgh SHOULD win this game but a red hot Chargers team will keep it together and pull out the win.

My always correct prediction:

Chargers 21- Steelers 16 (yes there will be a safety and no field goals). Chargers move on to Play Baltimore. Oh yea did i forget to say that the Ravens will win too?

Enough of Bagging on LT

I'm a cynic and even I am tired of people bagging on LT. Have some sympathy for the guy. He gets somewhat deep in the playoffs twice and is too hurt to play in the games. That has to kill someone how works as hard as he does to achieve goals such as winning those games.

Enough already.

Steelers have a large women fanbase

I just thought id give my 2cents on the Steeler-Charger game match up this Sunday but instead id like to share a neat little fact about the Steelers.

They have the largest female fanbase of ANY NFL team. Congrats to them. However, I am still much happier being a Chargers fan. Judge for yourself.

Bill Cowher has said he is going to stay on as a sportscaster (and grocery store cart catcher as seen here) in the 2009 football season. I dont know how this will effect the Chargers playoff game against the Steelers but I am sure this candid photo will cause the Pittsburgh Steelers to have distress and lose many hours of sleep of Bills current fall from grace.

It has also been reported Bill is considering a job as the 'Fry Station Guy" at McDonalds in NC. Perhaps he can use this position to bide his time until a coaching spot opens up in San Diego. (Undoubtedly from Norv winning 5 super bowls in the coming 5 years as his supporters would have you believe on my posts. Although, i find this hard to accomplish by starting seasons by losing 4 out of 5 games).

PS. John Madden Thanks for the Shout Out for Fire Norv! And to all you Norv supporters.. Where were you all season to defend him? He wins a playoff game and now he is Coach of the year? He called a good game. That is for sure but I dont think the eliminates an 8-8 record that would have most certainly had the Chargers far from the playoffs.

As predicted in my post earlier D. Sproles comes through big for a Chargers win and it came down to the last play. If the Chargers were to win it would be due to him, Not LT and if we were to lose it would be from Cromartie's mistakes (and it almost was). Right to the wire. Sproles had the most combined yards in a game in post-season play history. What a game. The Chargers beat the Colts in almost every stat and the D came up BIG. Cromartie was taken advantage of (especially on the touchdown pass that used his lack of discipline to score the go ahead for the Colts that put the Chargers in a bad position).

The Chargers came through with Sproles and the Defense had their best game of the year. I hope Baltimore wins so we have a shot at the AFC Champ game here in SD.

PS. Did anyone else catch the Chargers Cheerleader that had her areola hanging out of her Chargers outfit on the close up near halftime? Dont they have a tape person for that?

FLASH NEWS UPDATE: 9:50AM.. NFL NETWORK is reporting that L.T. has a detached tendon in his groin and his doctors have recommended he get surgery. His game time will be limited if non-existent in tonights game.

sorry about the delay ladies and germs but being the pessimist I am and seeing that the Chargers had 4 wins in late Nov. I booked a vacation during wild-card weekend and here I am... on vacation and will have to miss the game (only game I will miss this season at the Q).

The Chargers looked like a team that cared last Sunday night and NO I don't think it was because Norv gave the best speech of his life or something. I just think the team came out and executed like a team up against the wall and performed to their full potential. Like a smart kid in college who can only cram at the last minute to pass his tests. The Chargers are those guys. Perhaps, Norv the 'dad' hasnt properly motivated them to do this all the time and that is my biggest problem with him as coach. Play calling was OK but not all the different. They executed the run and that opened up the pass and Denver is a pretty crappy team.

So where are the Chargers this week? In any other division they would be 2nd to last place and the playoffs would be a 1/4 season of victories out of their reach. But I am glad they are there but PLEASE dont try to tell me that Norv should get a break.

8-8 isnt great and neither is Norv.

I do have a scenario where the Chargers win but it will be because of Sproles playing most of the game and Cromartie getting back into last years form. Unfortunately, Cromartie has been pretty bad so far this year and I have the league MVP (P. Manning) taking full advantage of him.
