Wellllll.

Well. I sure cant blame Norv for all the missed tackles today. The Chargers just got plain out played. Old fashioned whooping. Coming off such an emotional win as last week it would be very hard to rebound and come out firing today. Cant blame Norv for this loss. Just the 8 during the regular season.

Norv sucked on clock management, as usual.

We have to look at next year, now.

Go Chargers!

Gary said...

Are you kidding me, how can you not blame him when he PUNTED down 3 scores with 4 minutes to go....then we rip off a huge TD, and try an onside. They should have fired Norv before the clock hit zero...his entire coaching staff threw in the towel with that punt and you don't think you can blame Norv???

you can blame this entire season on Norv. The only reason they made it as far as they did was superior talent. Norv must go. Lets go get Shanahan! Start that site up blue hair!

Shannhan would be great, but that idiot GM won't give up enough power to let Shannahan coach in San Diego. Clean house in San Diego and run these two clowns out of town.

How did Norv suck on clock management? There's no way that the Chargers were going to make it on 4th and 17, so big deal. Many head coaches would have punted in that same situation, especially deep on their own side of the field. BTW, what's the big deal about Shanahan? He hasn't done squat since Elway retired. Why do you think that the Broncos canned his ass?

shanahan already said he would not need to have total control. Think about how bad he would want to stick it to denver every year. He is a good coach, one of the top 5 or 6 in the league.
Can't hate on the GM, look at all this talent on the team... can't think of to many bust in the last few years.
At the end of the day young talent does not preform well under a "players coach" Chargers need a hard ass, Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, Cowher, Bellichick type of coach. your dealing with a lot of young talent making a ton of money.
Shanahan would have a field day with this offense!!! Keep Rivera and and make him assistant head coach and DC... think about that

true the chargers were outplayed - but this coaching decision was outrageous!

I HATE NORV TURNER. HE SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. THE MOST INCOMPETANT AND UNISPIRING COACH EVER. FIRE NORV TURNER!!!!!!

Are you Kidding me, the fact that Norv was able to get on the return flight back from Pittsburgh Baffles me. He needs to be fired immediatley, as in now. Poor clock managemet, poor play calling, poor leadership, poor execution of anything. He took a legit 14-2 team turned them into this. by the way last years success was not becuase of Norv, it was residual effects of what they learned from Marty, Mickey Mouse could have coached that team to victory last year... oh wait he did. This year.... this is the real Norv Turner. 4-8 and lucky. LOSER.

Norv sucks. this is what you get when you hire a born loser. He is a decent oc but he has proven time and again, with talent and without, that he can't coach. No more excuses for him. fire him and bring in somebody else. We looked like we did in the begining of the season and Norv definitly takes the blame for that. Norv do us a favor and step down as head coach.

lets get this thing fired up!!! Norv must go! a sight like this helped the Florida Gators get out of a mess and land Urban. Flood the papers, TV stations and all local radio. This site should be getting 10K+ hits a day.
Hell, if the shitty over the hill Eagles are one game away.... We have better and younger talent,

Rivera should STAY!

Kellis, the Chargers had a weak schedule the year that they went 14-2. They didn't play the Colts or the Patriots that year, and they played the NFC West. I'm sick of all the Chargers' fans saying, "They should have been 14-2 this year." NO, THEY SHOULDN'T. They're not that good. Merriman was out the entire year too, and L.T. wasn't as productive.

Norvamania!

In the year that the Chargers went 14-2, as soon as they played a tough team in the playoffs, THEY LOST. So either they were overrated, or Marty simply couldn't win the big game.

Hey, a Raiders fan here. You know, my team had a pretty terrible year this year. In fact, we still haven't beaten the Chargers. But you know? I'm feeling good today. Because your season ended the exact same way as ours, the only difference being our 3 Lombardi trophies. Still waiting for your first, huh? Keep waiting, you little bitches. FUCK! THE! CHARGERS!

You are correct, Raiders fan. The Raiders have won three Super Bowls. The Chargers have yet to do squat, unless you count AFL Championships (which I don't).

Get that fucking Raider fan of the FireNorv site.

Hey Raider, at least we can get into the playoffs is this Century.

The Raiders have been to a Super Bowl this century. The Chargers haven't.

Well I was at this game, wearing my powder blue in a sea of black and gold. I do find fault with Norv in this game, as i do in the players. The fact that we were out matched up front needs to be addressed. Yes LT is getting old, but our Line should be getting better with age. The fact that we couldnt run aint Norv's fault.

The problem i have with norv during this game was his lack up setting up the run. Playaction looked sloppy, and lining Sproles up in a I formation played to his greatest weakness (that he aint a break tackle running back).

My major beif with Norv this game was not spreading out the field. I dont care what anyone said about that game, WE could have passed on them the entire game, not just the 4th quarter. The steelers do have a good secondary meaning they HIT hard, but they give to much coushin. I Know this will be huge when Arizona plays the steelers.

The matter of the season itself. I blame some of it on Norv and the other on a major injury (shawne merriman). I know one player doesnt win football games but in our defenses case, shawne merriman is what makes our defence that dam good. With him on the field, people must account for him every play, opening up shaun philips more and the rest of our LBS and DLine. Also with his pass rushing abilities he can force the QB to throw sooner then they would like, allowing our corners to be in better coverage for an INT or a broken pass.

In the end, fire NORV and keep AJ. AJ's only poor choice in my point-a-view has been hiring Norv.

They won't fire norv nnow. They are letting him pick all of his ne coaching staff. Sucks...NOrval will be back.

Now that the first preseason game has been played for 2009, it is time to get updated on this site!

Norv still uninspiring, but hoping to see more from our Chargers.
