PS. John Madden Thanks for the Shout Out for Fire Norv! And to all you Norv supporters.. Where were you all season to defend him? He wins a playoff game and now he is Coach of the year? He called a good game. That is for sure but I dont think the eliminates an 8-8 record that would have most certainly had the Chargers far from the playoffs.
As predicted in my post earlier D. Sproles comes through big for a Chargers win and it came down to the last play. If the Chargers were to win it would be due to him, Not LT and if we were to lose it would be from Cromartie's mistakes (and it almost was). Right to the wire. Sproles had the most combined yards in a game in post-season play history. What a game. The Chargers beat the Colts in almost every stat and the D came up BIG. Cromartie was taken advantage of (especially on the touchdown pass that used his lack of discipline to score the go ahead for the Colts that put the Chargers in a bad position).
The Chargers came through with Sproles and the Defense had their best game of the year. I hope Baltimore wins so we have a shot at the AFC Champ game here in SD.
PS. Did anyone else catch the Chargers Cheerleader that had her areola hanging out of her Chargers outfit on the close up near halftime? Dont they have a tape person for that?

I am proud of the way the team played. Norv did a good job of playcalling tonight. The Defense played great all night but one play. We survive to play again next week. Norv still sucks though. He did not turn this team around the players did.
Scifers had a great game too. Without his effort we would not have won the game.

The Chargers were the joke of the NFL except Detroit? Jeez, that's really stretching it. The Chargers underperformed for much of the season but then caught fire when they needed to do so. The Chargers have finished strong the last two years under Norv.
Dungy may be a classy guy, but he sucks. I mean, if Norv is so awful, then what is Dungy for losing to Norv in the playoffs two years in a row? The Colts were CLEARLY the better team this year, and they choked once again. Dungy is well known for his teams choking in the playoffs. Sure, he won the Super Bowl once, but that was two whole years ago.
Arizona and San Diego were clearly the worst two teams to make the playoffs. The Cards limped into the playoffs, and the Chargers were 8-8.
Cards: 6-0 vs. their own pathetic division but 3-7 against the rest of the league. They were clearly the worst NFC team in the playoffs. They also lost too many blowout games during the regular season against tough opponents like the Vikings, Eagles, Jets, and Patriots.
They won today, due to home field advantage plus several fuckups by a rookie QB, as well as a brain fart by the defense on the last meaningful play of the game. The Falcons would beat the Cards seven out of every ten games, at least.
I guess you could say the same thing about the Chargers. Denver is a major bad team, so no wonder the Chargers beat them.
And the Chargers lost several close games that they should have won this year.
Clock Management again, even tonight. We first had all of our time outs, then had no time outs.
Luckily for the Bolts, the Colts screwed up in OT so many times (and they were penalized) that we got another chance and Spoles moved it on in.
Otherwise, Manning would have come out and beat us if he were given the opportunity.

All season, the media was talking about the Chargers talent while the Chargers kept blowing up in important games in the last few minutes. Nobody is ever talking up Norv Turner as they do other GOOD coaches who have winning records. Norv is just an O Coordinator who has the title of head coach. Norv is just mediocre overall. We did not have the win in the bag, and never do.
Norv gets paid for being a head coach, so if the Chargers lose games they should win, NORV takes the hit.

Light it up during the regular season (3 pointers/Passing Yardage) but when it comes to the post season they lack an ingredient....When Duke's 3s don't fall they have no inside game...The Colts had no rushing game tonight or this season...nor could they stop the run.

I am so sick of everyone blaming Norv (among others) for the subpar performances of OUR CHARGERS. Plain and simple, they were INCONSISTENT! Call it what it is! I am die-hard Chargers, but I am also a realist. When LT's poor toe was bothering him, he should've stayed his ass on the bench. As you can see clearly, Sproles has it under control. Norv deserves some credit here for recent play calling. But it must also be acknowledged that an 8-8 record is in fact mediocre and when your team is talented that falls on the coach. It's Norv's job to make sure these guys don't believe their own press.
