Well, I agree with the playing for the Tampa Bay game. However, the KC game, not so much.

I am happy that we still have a chance to go to the playoffs. However, I can hear the norv defenders already saying see he is a good coach. But it took another locker room talking from Ladanian Tomlinson to get this team in gear. He did it last year and he did it again about three weeks ago. By doing so, he turned the team around and may save Norv's job. That sucks. Norv is just going to put us through this again next year. Can't always expect the other teams to be crappy.

It looks like yet another primetime matchup on NBC between the Colts and Chargers at Qualcomm. Round 1: Vinatieri misses game winner. Round 2: Vinatieri makes game-winning kick. What will happen in Round 3? BTW, it's kind of funny that an 8-8 team will be hosting a 12-4 team.
Here's something else that's funny. You got an 8-8 team in the AFC making the playoffs in the Chargers, and then you have an 11-5 in the SAME conference in the Patriots missing the playoffs. It's 1985 all over again. The Chargers will be the first 8-8 team to host a playoff game. In other news, the Cowboys missed the playoffs. I guess that Phillips is gone. It also looks like the end of Brett Favre's career, not necessarily by choice. Who the hell is going to want that interception machine playing for them next year? Call it a career, Brett.
The Lions are the first 0-16 team in history. They could easily go 0-16 next year too! I wonder if the NFL is going to remove the Lions from Thanksgiving football. In other news, an NFC South team finally lost a home divisional game as the Saints lost to the Carolina Panthers. It looks like Crennel will be fired by Cleveland. Mike Singletary will be back in S.F. after doing a great job this season. Finally, isn't it just funny how the Bucs, Bills, Broncos, and Packers all collapsed late in the season? What an exciting season! Oh, and isn't it great that that whining loudmouth T.O. won't be in the playoffs? Finally, I will keep referring to the Cowboys' QB as Tony Homo until he wins a damn playoff game.

The Chargers need to rethink their plans to retain Turner and go after Shanahan. Shanahan is a much better head coach than Turner could ever aspire to be. LT would dominate in a Shanahan offense (see Terrell Davis and Clinton Portis...hell, even Mike Anderson and Olandis Gary).
Shanahan's weakness is defensive personnel moves and A.J. has that covered. Shanahan can, however, spot quality offensive players-- as evidenced by his picks of Cutler, Marshall and Royal.

It would be exciting to have a good head coach with this team.
Hiring Mike would be an excellent, therefore, highly improbable scenario by the Chargers.
