The Manchurian Referee

You should fear the hand of Hochuli. In one swoop of his hand or blow of his whistle he can make certain victories disappear.

I guess if i was his age and had guns like him id wear a shirt 2 sizes too small too. I met Ed in New Orleans during the superbowl after 9-11 after a night out (well at least I was out) and he seemed nice enough. But now Ed, the romance is over.

It is now my belief from call after call against the Chargers in the game against Denver that you are a programed robot OR have been brainwashed to screw the Chargers over in games when someone shouts the word "pumpernickle!" to you on the field. This makes you blow your whistle to call obvious fumbles that go backwards dead as an incomplete pass somehow.

Perhaps you and Mike Shanahan served together in some Delta force unit that invaded Panama or Nicaragua or something and that is when they planted the device in your brain. But you can no longer be trusted.

I would like to officially request referee Mike Carey for the rest of the San Diego games and you my old friend. I will forever yell at the field telling you to go buy a shirt that isnt 2 sizes too small but due to the size of those guns I will do this randomly from the stands well out of range of any lasers your eyes might shoot out.

As you can see by the photo of Mike Carey he is capable of defeating the Hochuli. Its like Ultra-Man Vs. Godzilla. Whatever you do Charger fans. DO NOT yell PUMPERNICKLE at the games.

Maybe they should start allowing steroids again...these injuries are getting ridiculous. The Colts are in big trouble defensively without Sanders

Colts president Bill Polian told the Indianapolis Star that safety Bob Sanders could miss 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Not only should this be a warning sign for fantasy owners of the Colts' defense, but it also should signal that Indy is open for business when it comes to opposing running backs piling up yards.

Sad to say but Ed Hochuli didn't lose the game for San Diego...San Diego did.

After his admitted fault, San Diego had 2 chances to stop Denver from winning. Unfortunately, the Chargers Defense had their hands around their throat during those 2 plays...or was it that they were crying over a missed call. I couldn't tell.

Dear Dan,

Give us 14 or 15 points and see what happens.

Love,

The Chargers

well they wouldnt have had to stop those two plays if he didnt blow his whistle on the wrong call.

Of course you want Mike Carey calling Charger games, he lives in San Diego! Give Hercules Hochuli a break, at least he screwed the Chargers in Week 2. Walt Coleman screwed the Raiders in a playoff game. It could be a lot worse, the Chargers have plenty of time to recover from this.

So you think the Chargers feel a bit humiliated? How about the Padres rookies?

The Padres are embarrasing without dressing up as Hooters Girls

What is up with the Raiders whiners on this site?

In today's Giant's game, they have already made reference to that blown "San Diego call". God forbid that Eli gets a bad call.

Even if Dan Deardork does call Eli Peyton and the Giant's coach some other name, he has figuered out that San Diego got screwed in their last game.

Funny how there are Oddrays comments on here.............

You know Padres - well they are the Oddrays aka the training team for MLB.

storm warning said...

Ed Hochuli was CAT 4 or 5 storm and made landfall in Denver, CO, which is an unusal place for a storm of this magnitude. Hurricane Ed annilated the San Diego Chargers and then was downgraded to CAT 1 storm. Hurricane Ed will make landfall at a game this SUNDAY.

NFL fans, excluding Denver, had better check the weather channel to see how hurricane Ed is tracking now.

Yikes! Hurricane Ed will go down in history as one of the most destructive 'canes in 2008 after ripping the crap out of the Chargers who are still recovering after all of the damage inflicted in week 2.

Eh? You say.. said...

After watching in horror last week's game, I guess it is safe to say that it is no surprise that Hochuli's initials are EH.

As in Eh? I'm confused.

I sure hope that there isn't a NFL Official with the initials of FU working at an upcoming Chargers game.............

Go DEfense tomorrow night against the Jets.............

Let's get a win Chargers.

The game tonight, a pissed off Defense that wants to show some pride and a pissed off LT with all the reporters saying he peaked last year. My prediction:
Jets-3
Chargers- 1091

Hopefully, Farve is having one of his "throw the ball to the wrong team days" and Cromartie is back to last year's performances.

It was reported that the Jets changed the entire offensive scheme to make Farve more comfortable.

Defense has to be on tonight.

BTW. Hurricane Ed hit Baltimore yesterday, so it looks like we are safe in this game.

Go Chargers!

Well my prediction was only off by a few points. It was good to see LT score and I know he's hurt but Sproles is much more fun to watch and much more productive. I hope they both kick ass this year but I am wondering if we are seeing a little bit of a changing of the guard.

The Chargers WON!!!!!

That's good!

But, special teams and defense still need work and ASAP.

As far as the above comment, I believe we are/will be seeing the changing of the guard.

Most running backs only play around 6-7 years and L.T. is in year 8. This fan believes M. Turner should have been kept - look what he is doing in Atlanta.

At least we got going and with the current offense, we need to regroup on Special teams, who have been improving over the last three years and definitely get better on defense, which seems to be respected in the NFL, but have been getting weaker and weaker.

Can't wait to see more of Rivers and company.

Go Chargers!
