Turn up the temperature!

Don' t let it be said I am not a fair man. I predicted the Chargers would beat up a bad Ravens team and they did. Rivers had an Awesome game and the play calling was risky but paid off. If Rivers is hot and accurate then the Chargers win. If he has an off day (or season so far) then the Chargers lose. Pass Pass Pass. Norv Turner looks like Mike Martz lately. What else are you supposed to do when opposing teams stuff what seems like 14 people at the line of scrimmage to stop LT?

Hot and Cold. That would sum up the year so far. I'm not about to start praising Norv Turner for one win but the team came together and played well. If he gets most of the blame when they loose then I have to give him credit when they win. I still think he sucks and isn't the future for the Chargers and will be out the door in two years. I also think you should buy a few of the t-shirts I made so that we speed that process up.

Charger will pull out a win but by 3 points. The Ravens are falling fast and hard while the Chargers have been treading more water than a water polo team. Both teams are losing games behind diminishing QB's who have been turn-over happy. The road has not been kind to the Chargers this year so thank goodness this is at home. Quite frankly, I don't know WHY Vegas has them by 9.5 but the Chargers have screwed the spread all year long so why stop now?

I would add my usual advice on what the team needs to do but I would just be repeating myself and what every other sportscaster, fan and ave. Joe on the street know. The coaching has failed to motivate and utilize the players. It's like dating Ms. America if she signed a chastity pledge. Whats the point really? Wasted talent. Wasted Talent. That is exactly what the sanitation workers told me when I was finished my stint picking up garbage when I got sentenced to community service as a teenager.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I don't think this picture really needs a post to get the message across but I like talking so here goes... I am thankful for lots of things. My gf, my dogs, my friends and my football. Im also thankful that the Chargers had the balls to send me an invoice for playoff tickets already. How much more will my season tickets be next year? Can I keep expecting a proportionate raise in ticket prices to a downward spiraling product on the field? If this were the apprentice we would have heard Trump yell- "Your FIRED" about 5 episodes ago. And further more if this were the Apprentice we would have been canceled and I would have a really bad haircut.

I have been offered the job of GM on the Chargers message board. I will accept this position as long as I get paid on performance. If AJ makes 1 mil a year that means if I can get the Chargers to an 8-8 season as GM then i get $500k etc.... I wonder if AJ would take that? Id be more than happy. Then someone can make a firedave.net site and sell t-shirts of me. (Maybe in Tiger beat to the ladies!) grrrrrr.

Who am I kidding? I am a much better complainer than a builder but hey its more fun right?! But seriously, I hope things get turned around soon. Does anyone think Norv will stay around past two years? Nope. So why delay the inevitable?

I'm STILL angry about the loss Sunday. But....Oh yea, by the way..... i guessed the 7 point loss correctly. I had both teams scoring a little bit more but I had the spread guessed. Vegas should be calling any day now....

Time for my weekly prediction that no one pays attention to but is ALWAYS* correct. If a team losses on a field and no one is watching does it make a sound?....... What is the sound of one hand slapping after a touchdown? These and other questions (or Koans as the spiritually connected already pretend to know) probably wont be answered on Sunday but one question will be.

Can the Chargers beat an above .500 team without, not one, not two but three acts of God? (sign the petition here).

I would love to say Yes. Yes we can! But unfortunately, I don't think they will. They have played very poorly on the road so far and they lack any semblance of balance or Zen equilibrium. I will meditate that the Chargers are able to ground themselves with the ground game (LT)... that propelled them to a 14-2 record last year instead of going pass first with Mr Happy Feet Rivers.

I hope I am wrong but I am going to say 27-21 Chargers lose again in the 4th quarter. Out-schemed again until they find some "balance."

• He leads the league in interceptions.
• He has more interceptions this year already than any other DB on the Chargers since 2001.

Only in Norv and Ted's defense could this happen. Hey I have a great idea. Lets take one of the worst secondaries in the NFL over the last 4 years and keep the same basic lineup even though one of the backups is having a pro-bowl year. Do I really need to go on?

This years coaching staff is starting to sound like material for a Jerry Seinfield skit. -"Whats the deal with this Norv Turner? I mean he has the best back in the NFL and doesn't feed him the ball........" Yadda yadda yadda..............

That's right! I won the game for the Chargers. The pats missed field goal was because I used my jinx magic called the "Danny Noonan". Caddyshack fans know this from when Danny is trying to putt to win the Bushwood golf contest and everyone is yelling Nooonan! Noooooonan!. Well guess what? When I do this against the opposing team (only when in dire need) it works 7 out of 10 times. IF you won money on the game I want my 10% juice. You can use Paypal.

Anyway.......... What can I say? The coaching is still below par and Rivers' play has digressed more than Liz Taylors good looks. Whats going on with all the dropped snaps? He did that with Hardwick at center too. Quite frankly, I think we have to start giving Volek more reps in practice. Two more games like the past few and a QB change is in order until Rivers learn to make better reads. He threw at least 2 passes into TRIPLE coverage. Not a good idea...... I wonder how much it would cost to get Doug Flutie to drop his TV contract and start throwing some balls. All the Chargers need is an accurate passer who can get the ball 10 yards without interceptions. Really.

I bet Sean Salisbury would like to take some snaps for San Diego since he acts like he was the best QB to ever play the game when he does analysis. Note to Sean: Your not Jaworski. Your no polish rifle. However, with the proper eyewear you would kind of look like him.

My Prediction? PAIN!

That's right! You heard it here first. Chargers come out with a win against Indy.. a BIG win. For all you haters out there who think I just like to be pessimistic. Stick this in your turkey giblets and bake it. As MR. T said in Rocky...

After reflection of lasts weeks worst performance of the year I now chalk it up to coming off the emotional game the week before. I would assume by now the team realizes that it cant count on the coach to give them the extra ummph and motivation and they will take it upon themselves to be the professionals they are paid to be and perform on their own accord and some team leaders will light a fire under their ass (see Merriman).

If the game plan sucks and the coaches aren't making ANY or the right adjustments at half-time the players will know they have to play that much harder. This game is the turning point of the season where the Chargers take control of their destiny and make it happen.

Vegas has the Chargers as a 3 point underdog for a reason. Hell they would be favorites to win if they didn't screw the pooch so badly against the Vikes. This game will be a turning point.

Now or Never. Poop or get off the potty. Make your move to 2nd base or go home with Rosie Palmer. Hand the bank teller the note and fill your ski mask with dough or wait in line and fill out your deposit slip and list all checks separately on the other side and make sure to date and sign it (or of course at BofA they have that random person walking around with a pen and paper taking deposits but do you really trust them to enter your deposit? I don't really I mean they could just go take a pee and forget all those slips and..... ) well i digress. Maybe that last one doesn't make sense.

But I know this makes sense. Chargers win by 10.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

Im not sure if the players played very badly, the coaches had a crappy scheme against what WAS the NFL's worst pass defense or if all the injuries added up. One thing is for sure.. The Vikings man handled the Chargers, the guy above looks like a split personality football fan....and the Chargers are a mediocre team and not in the NFL elite. Good thing for us the AFC West is super-bad......... I hate those Viking hats.... Dont you?

Ill post the link again for the petition. The team was definetly not prepared for this game and that is a coaching issue. Say what you will but the Chargers are getting out schemed every 2nd half they play. There may be many reasons for the poor play such as the emotional drain of the fires etc...... but to be the team that gives up the most rushing yards in an NFL game EVER?! What is this 1976 Tampa Bay? We do have a lot of bays here... hummmmmm.

Is it football or futboll?
