When asked about the move Head Coach Norv Turner stated "well, we have always thrown on all 4 downs no matter what. Especially in the 2nd half of games. We thought we would put in a trick play and run this fella a few times to see what might happen. We sure are glad we did." "You know.." He continued to say "the last coach here , Marty S. left me some notes and told me not to run the ball with him much. Especially, in the 2nd half if we are ahead or the running game is otherwise working. Now I get the feeling that advice might not be that good." Norv then questioned whether or not Shotty might not have had his best interest in mind.
Next week: Def. Coordinator Ted Cottrell examines new play called a "blitz" and "pressuring the QB" with another Pro-Bowler named Merriman. Rumor ALSO has it that the new coaching staff MIGHT look at tape of the team from the last 3 years.

Even a Charger win couldnt stop my dogs from having their nuts chopped off but it is a step in the right direction. (No I dont kick them when we lose). The team handed the Denver Donkeys thier worst home lose since 1966. This is the team we expected. Was it Norv? Did the OL coach call the plays for this game as stated by Ditka? We still dont know... but whatever they did it worked. Did Norv's haircut have something to do with it?
For those of you saying that a 2-3 start is good enough and that the petition is stupid (THIS MEANS you Jim Laslavic Thanks for the shout out on the news tonight!) Let's take it a day at a time. This is a good start so I wont put up a new link to the petition today and for all the haters out there IF Norv gets us to the playoffs I will put up a http://www.givenorvaraise.com/ SEE? Thats funny. So you would like me to complain when the team performs well too? And how do you know that I dont donate time to disadvantaged youth? Why are you visiting the site anyway and wasting your own time? WHy dont you go down to New Alternatives childrens center and ask them how many inflatable jumps were donated from 2001-2005 for the kids to play in on holidays. Cause that was me who dontated them and set up them for them to play in. In case you dont know what New ALternatives is.. its where kids go when their parents are in jail or they are abused and there is nowhere else to put them. They have it really hard and your a real dick who thinks he knows it all. How about you go down there and volunteer? You wouldnt last 10 minutes..Some of us can manage to put up a "toywebsite" (btw they are also called blogs..)AND be a productive member of society. Imagine that!

Obviously from your response, you find rudeness and biased comment in a public forum to be offensive and unfair.
My harshness was supposed to be the point: a taste of your own medicine, or "If you live by the sword, you'll die by the sword."
However, I should have simply stated my view,
instead of fighting fire with fire, which just leaves us all with a world of ashes.
I believe "team spirit" is a requisite for good fans, and I need to practice this as well.
So, 1) I apologize for my part in this bleud (blog feud), and congratulate you on all your practical contributions to the community.
2) I respectfully request that you change your blog to one that is, in my personal opinion more civil and respectful of persons who are doing their best. The petition is like the "rate your teachers" websites where students with an axe to grind can publically demean someone. I feel that you and your supporters have no vantage point from which to pronounce that Chargers should fire Turner or anyone, especially someone barely into their tenure. I do not see this, or a petition that is bound to be ignored by the Chargers(but not the media), to be conducive to team success, which is one thing we can agree on.
You could consider re-titling your blog along the lines of "Change the Chargers", or Reform, Voice of the Fans, etc.
Then it could have a more ongoing, consistent, and more valuable purpose.
Thank you for your passion for the Chargers. The best is yet to be.

what i meant to say is that this particular blog is about the unhappiness of changing coaches with a 14-2 team so late after the 2006 season. Not an overall Chargers team blog neccesarily. That function would belong to the Official Chargers team blog which i visit. This one is for blowing off steam.
